Painting tips to make a room appear larger

Want your rooms to appear larger?

Many people think that the only way to make a small room appear larger is to paint it white or an off-white color, not so! Using a light color can accomplish the same effect while adding some needed “punch” to your space.

Since it can be difficult to judge colors from the small paint swatch available at your local home improvement store, consider purchasing a few small paint samples. Many manufacturers make small samples available and you can paint small areas throughout your home. The advantage to this is that you can see how the color changes with the changing light throughout the day. You can also paint close to the floor level to judge how the color will complement your flooring.

Add some height to your small room.

Consider painting the ceiling white. A white ceiling looks fantastic next to light colors. The eye is naturally drawn upward to the lighter color making your room appear to have height.  To find out more call us at (352) 702-5119.  www.qualityassurancepaintinginc.com
